Description  more details

This is the inaugural vintage of Revolver Wine Co Merlot. Merlot is a major component of the Page Wine Cellars Proprietary Red, and we enjoy the elegance that it brings to the blend. In 2005, we actually set out to make Merlot on its own, just a little as we found a few barrels that seemed too perfect all by themselves.  Balance is the key with Merlot, and that is achieved showing supple rich fruit with flavors of blueberry pie, chocolate, and the so delicious velvety texture. This is a wine that reminds us why we love Merlot so much!!

Pictured on the label is the Calvary Baptist Church in Lancaster, CA made famous by the movie Quentin Tarantino filmed there, Kill Bill. If you caught the opening scene, you might know why we knick named the wine “Purgatory”. The labels for the Revolver Wine Co feature places in the old west.  Our minimalistic approach to winemaking and curiosity about wine made by the pioneers of the early 1900s without so many modern tools or techniques lend inspiration for Revolver Wine Co and subsequently, the labels.
