It all started years ago at a chance meeting in the tasting room. This led to the genesis of producing a kick ass wine together. After many meet ups over the years and idea swapping, we decided to do a Cabernet Sauvignon to start…and not just an ordinary one.
We got the components for 2009 together and headed to my cottage to watch the Super Bowl and start up the final blending process. After a quick Guinness to calm the nerves and cleanse the pallet, we dove right into it. Within minutes it was clear that the Super Bowl was an after-thought and the creation of this wine was taken very serious attitude. After hours of creative epiphanies, Mike had his blend. Two weeks later he came in and hand blended one barrel, and I hand blended the other. Truly HANDS-ON, HAND-CRAFTED with a “punk” attitude!!

Tasting Notes & Technical Data
From the soul of a ballad and a face-melting riff comes a blend from 10 different barrels to make a mere 3 barrels of this stunning Cabernet. This is a brooding, dark, intense wine. Blackberries, dark plum, with hints of cocoa and pepper. Amazing tannin structure that is present but not dominating. Although this is a big wine, acid balance is sublime. Built to last and go great with food. It is best to give it an hour in the decanter if drunk young. This wine will easily age for 12 years plus.

Production: Between 2-3 Barrels
Aging: 30 to 36 months in French oak barriques
