‘Blood & Roses’ Rosé

Another ultimate expression of a micro production Rosé!

A magnificent saigne of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The tanks were bled within 5 minutes of destemming creating a salmon colored rosé. Barrel fermented and then aged for 4 months in neutral French Oak. Ripe red raspberry and watermelon with notes of kumquat, nectarine, and blood orange peel. Great acidity with no malo-lactic conversion induced. This well chilled rosé is better on a 100 degree day than a full on Cabernet Sauvignon at cellar temperature…the ultimate BBQ wine – you can still have your Cabernet Sauvignon and your steak/burger/ribs!

First Vintage: 2012

Blend:  Usually a predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon, if not 100%, with a wee bit, sometimes, of Merlot or Cabernet Franc.

AVA:   Napa Valley
